Bertech High Temperature Polyimide Tapes are made from a polyimide film with 1.5 mil silicone adhesive. These tapes have been used in applications at temperatures as low as -269 degree C (-452 degree F) and as high as 400 degree C (752 degree F). Polyimide masking tapes are reliable and durable with a unique combination of electrical, thermal, chemical and mechanical properties that withstand extreme temperature, vibration and other demanding environment. Polyimide tapes are used in a range of industries including aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics, industrial, solar photovoltaic and wind energy applications. They have a high dielectric strength. Silicon adhesive protection leaves no residue. Applicable for automotive sensor and manifolds, insulating circuit boards, etching, fiber optics cable, high temperature powder coating, semiconductor manufacturing, wave soldering during circuit board assembly. They are used in powder coating, plating and anodizing to mask areas that do not require coating or plating. Masking parts for powder coating, plating and anodizing. Masking edges of overlap seams in metal bonding process. Holding parts or vacuum bags during bonding process. Thickness: 2.5 mil. Breaking strength: 50 lbs./in. Adhesion to steel: 20 oz./in.
