The Mitutoyo 295 series tube micrometer has a vertical anvil for measuring tubing wall thickness, and a mechanical digit counter for ease of reading to 0.01mm. It also has a vernier scale in metric units for taking precise outside diameter (OD) measurements and a ratchet-stop mechanism for uniform pressure during adjustment. The anvil type may be pin, spherical, or cylindrical, depending on the model. The micrometer’s frame has a baked enamel finish for protection and durability. The spindle and anvil are carbide-tipped for wear resistance. A spindle lock helps provide secure locking of the measurement position. The micrometer comes with a plastic case for storage.
